Personally, there are still a lot of items in my wardrobe which are made out of plastics, mostly sports clothes made out of polyester. Studies have shown that polyester sheds thousands of microplastics in the washing. According to a report of the Changing Market\u2019s Foundation in 2025, recycled polyester sheds even more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

I noticed more and more some of my polyester clothes are giving me rashes, and the feeling when you walk around and touch a chair, you get a little static reaction. That\u2019s sadly not magic, that\u2019s plastic materials generating static shocks when touched. I could even see it in the middle of the night when putting on a fleece jacket.<\/span><\/p>

Changing to a more natural fibres isn\u2019t about throwing out all your plastic clothes - Wear what you have and feel comfortable in.<\/span><\/p>

We can start by supporting companies who offer natural and preferably organic materials.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>

And what\u2019s happening to any cotton clothes you have? The landfill doesn\u2019t want more clothes. Other countries and their natural parts don\u2019t want more of these discarded clothes naturally either.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Whaat??<\/p>

Yep, the majority of clothes, even if recycled are made into rags, car carpets and things like that. Only 1% are actually made back into clothes. Preventing fashion going to landfill and making them into new clothes is part of a CIRCULAR ECONOMY DESIGN<\/strong>.<\/p>

Teemill, who makes your t-shirts, is part of this. So the cotton t-shirt, which you\u2019d usually throw away (hopefully after being worn out) or discarded via charity organisations, because they can\u2019t deal with masses of unsuitable clothes either, would have ended up in landfill, has come back!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>


It\u2019s undergone a transformation<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>


These t-shirts are made of 50% post consumer cotton and 50% organic cotton<\/span><\/em>. This is the result of Teemill\u2019s efforts to invest into fashion solutions.<\/span><\/p>
